50 SOCIAL HOUSING UNITS
Le Canopée is an eco-neighborhood in Baiona consisting of 50 semi-detached houses built with radiata pine structural wood and European larch exterior cladding. An ambitious and large-scale project with a total built area of 4,280 m2.

Egoin took on this ambitious project in a comprehensive manner and undertook the engineering, manufacturing and assembly tasks. The process culminated with the installation of insulation, foils and tapes in order to obtain the French passivhaus and energy efficient housing certificates. A turnkey service was completed with facades finished with larch slats and the construction of aerial walkways connecting the houses. The Le Canopee project, which was executed over a 12-week period, was promoted by Le Coll, a public company linked to the French Ministry of Housing, and was directed by architect Patrick Arotcharen.
