A Baiuca primary school, built by Egoin exclusively in wood, is on the edges of the city centre. Its main access façade faces the street, while the other façade includes access for personnel, supplies and maintenance of the facilities. The central body is not divided by walls but separated into modules by a combination of roofs and skylights brightening and dividing the space, as well as minimising acoustic impact while promoting natural light and ventilation. This space distribution facilitates visual differentiation of successive areas which can be used at different times of the day for different activities. The building has a structure layout of CLT spruce load bearing walls, insulated in façades and lined with autoclave treated pine wood finished with protective finish (lasur). The roofing consists of a dual-sided decking board supported by laminated timber purlins, insulation and zinc.
