This new build wooden chapel was commissioned by the Holy See of Rome for the Belarusian Diaspora Community in London to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. It was the first wooden church built in London since the Great Fire of 1666. The principal structure using Douglas Fir is supplemented with suspended walls and roof interfaced with Radiata Pine CLT panels. The project was managed by Spheron Architects and 47 m3 of CLT were used.
